Background:

The school is situated in the heart of the village on a spacious and purpose-designed site; opened in 1977, when the school moved from the old school building next to the church, with which it maintains a close relationship. The four-classroom school is surrounded by a large playing field, a netball court, an environment area, and a community hall. The school at present offers football, rugby, cross-country, netball, hockey, cricket short tennis, basketball, French and recorders as extra-curricular clubs. The school's parent-teacher association (PTA) recently reached target of £21,000 to install four mini-suites if computers in the school. After-school care, until 5.30pm.
